This twist on the classic lasagna is sure to become a new family favourite. Layered with pasta, a robust pasta sauce, melted cheese and dark green spinach, this oven-baked casserole is easier to make than you might think. Try it tonight. You won’t be disappointed.

12 lasagna noodles, uncooked
1-1/2 lb. (675 g) extra-lean ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 jar (640 mL) Catelli Garden Select Diced Tomatoes & Basil Pasta Sauce
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
1 egg, beaten
1 container (475 g) light ricotta cheese
1 pkg. (300 g) frozen chopped spinach, thawed, well drained
3/4 cup Kraft Shredded Pizza Mozzarella Cheese

Step 1
Heat oven to 350ºF.
Step 2
Cook pasta as directed on package, omitting salt.
Step 3
Meanwhile, brown meat with onions and garlic in large skillet on medium heat. Add pasta sauce and parsley; stir. Simmer on medium-low heat 5 min., stirring frequently. Remove from heat. Mix egg, ricotta and spinach until blended.
Step 4
Drain pasta. Spread 1/4 of the pasta sauce mixture onto bottom of 13x9-inch baking dish sprayed with cooking spray; cover with layers of 3 noodles and 1/3 of the remaining pasta sauce mixture. Top with layers of 3 of the remaining noodles and ricotta mixture. Cover with layers of half each of the remaining noodles and pasta sauce mixture; repeat layers. Sprinkle with mozzarella; cover.
Step 5
Bake 45 min. or until heated through. Remove from oven. Let stand 15 min. before cutting to serve.
