Enjoy this cold-weather classic all year long. Dig into a bowl of steaming French Onion Soup - a rich broth with tender onions, topped with a slice of crusty, cheesy French bread.
How do I make it ?
PLACE 3 thinly sliced large Spanish onions, 2 cans (10 oz each) beef broth, 2 1/2 cups water and a bay leaf in a large pot. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 25 minutes. Remove bay leaf.
Fill six oven proof bowls with soup and float a slice of taosted French bread on each bowl.
Mix 1 cup each grated KRAFT Swiss cheese and Mozzarella cheese and 1/2 cup KRAFT 100% Parmesan Grated Cheese. Sprinkle on top of bread and broil for 5-10 min. until cheese browns.
