How do I make it ?
Select All
Step 1
Beat butter and sugar in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Blend in honey, egg and vanilla. Add flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; mix well. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours.
Step 2
Preheat oven to 350°F. Place dough on lightly floured surface; roll out to 1/4-inch thickness. Cut dough into desired shapes with 2-1/2- to 3-inch floured cookie cutters. Use a sharp knife to cut out a smaller identical shape from each cutout, about 1/2 to 3/4 inch from outside edge. Remove the centre of each cutout; mix with the remaining dough. Place cutouts on foil-covered baking sheets. Repeat with remaining dough.
Step 3
Crush each colour of candy separately between 2 sheets of wax paper with a meat mallet or hammer. Spoon the crushed candy inside the empty centres of the cutouts. Use the end of a drinking straw to poke a hole in the top of each cutout.
Step 4
Bake 6 to 8 minutes or until candy is melted and cookies are lightly browned. Cool cookies completely before removing from foil. Thread a piece of ribbon through the hole to use for hanging.
